This video from the New York Times reminds me of the human rights situation in the Philippines, only it's more oppressive in Burma. Journalists are expressly not allowed inside the country. At least in the Philippines, we have some vague semblance of a democratic press.
How can we reach out to our Southeast Asian neighbors who are facing similar, repressive political conditions?
